Sugar Loaf - Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
Our guide told us Sugar Loaf is 400 meters above sea level (1300 ft) and is named Sugar Loaf since it resembles refined loaf sugar. It is made of granite and quartz. I thought the view from Corcovado was great, but the views from Sugar Loaf were even better, especially since the day got really sunny and clear. Sugar Loaf has seating areas, trees, shops and even a cafe or two, which allows for a nice place to relax at sunset after a long day of touring. I even saw the little monkeys our guide told us about. We paid 40 BRL about $18 for the RT tram ticket to visit Sugar Loaf.
